The firm
Riverton Ventures Inc. is a Texas corporation operating from Houston as the U.S. arm of a continuous decade of applied work in the French small- and mid-market acquisition ecosystem. The firm is the U.S. operating extension of an integrated practice combining (i) executed acquisition track record, (ii) authored methodology published in the French Management reference catalog, and (iii) production-grade applied-machine-learning systems built for commercial operations.
The firm advises and builds. We are not a fund. We do not manage third-party capital under a regulated framework. We invest, advise, and operate where our methodology, our applied-software stack, and our operating experience deliver decision-grade intelligence to principals making allocation decisions.
The founder
Romain Pommerolle is a French entrepreneur, author, and operator. Over a decade he has executed multiple completed business acquisitions across consumer, e-commerce, and technology sectors, through a holding-company architecture and dedicated investment vehicles capitalized with external limited-partner subscription.
He is the substantive author of the Reprenariat methodology, codified in Se lancer dans le repreneuriat: La reprise d'entreprise, un investissement rentable, utile et à la portée de tous, published by Maxima (a Dunod / Hachette imprint) in January 2024. The methodology has been adopted by independent practitioners for their own SME acquisitions in the French market.
His applied-machine-learning work includes a production pricing engine ingesting approximately 1.1 million data points per day and the Delaware Basin OCTG Connection Intelligence Framework — an analytical pipeline aggregating tube-to-tube connection usage from operator-level public reporting, completed April 2026 in collaboration with senior supply-chain leadership at a Euronext-listed industrial supplier.

What we are not
Riverton Ventures is not a regulated investment fund, not a private-equity firm in the conventional sense, not a consultancy in the Big-Four sense, and not a technology vendor. We hold equity in our portfolio activities, we publish our methodology, and we ship the software we describe. Our differentiation is the integration of these three disciplines under a single operating discipline — not the breadth of any one of them.
Discipline
We work selectively. The firm's posture is: prefer fewer engagements with deeper involvement, prefer audited operating data over forecasts, and prefer methodology adoption (where the work is taken up by other practitioners) over methodology evangelism.
